What I Hope They Remember:
đź’ť I was present – Phone down, distractions aside, fully focused when they spoke
đź‘‚ I listened without judging – Their thoughts and feelings always mattered to me
🤗 I wasn’t perfect – I made mistakes, apologized, and showed them being human is okay
🌟 I encouraged impossible dreams – When they had wild ideas, I asked “How will you make it happen?”
🧠I taught them to think for themselves – Respected their autonomy to become who they’re meant to be
đź’Ş I showed resilience through example – Failure isn’t the opposite of success, it’s part of it
❤️ I loved their mother respectfully – Even when our relationship didn’t work out
🌍 I raised global citizens – We’re all part of one human family
🙏 I had faith – In something larger than what we can see and measure
The Real Truth:
Children don’t remember your lectures – they remember how you made them feel. They don’t remember your advice – they remember your example. Legacy isn’t the monuments we build, but the love we plant in our children’s hearts.
