November 2, 2024 – Tesla and Uber have teamed up to launch an exciting new incentive program designed to encourage Uber drivers to switch to electric vehicles. This initiative aims to promote sustainable transportation within the ride-sharing industry and support drivers in transitioning to Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.
Eligible Uber drivers who purchase a Tesla Model 3 or Model Y will benefit from a dual-incentive program. Upon taking delivery of their new Tesla, drivers will receive $1,000 in Tesla Credits. These credits can be used for Supercharging, service appointments, and select purchases in the Tesla Shop, making it easier for drivers to maintain their vehicles and stay on the road. Additionally, Uber will offer drivers an extra $1,000 in cash once they complete 100 trips, providing further financial support for their transition to electric driving.
This incentive program builds on the existing collaboration between Tesla and Uber. Earlier this year, Uber introduced a similar $2,000 incentive for purchasing Tesla vehicles, and in September, Tesla launched Uber integration for seamless navigation and convenience for drivers using the platform.
By continuing to strengthen their partnership, Tesla and Uber are driving the shift towards more sustainable transportation solutions, ensuring that both companies are at the forefront of the green mobility revolution. This initiative not only supports the environment but also helps Uber drivers reduce their operational costs and benefit from the cutting-edge technology and efficiency of Tesla’s electric vehicles.
